Bom Yeoreum Gaeul Gyeoul Geurigo Bom (2003)
Trailer
Lust awakens the desire to possess. And that awakens the intent to murder.
So basically: On an isolated lake, an elderly monk mentors a young boy about Buddism. As the seasons change, so does the boy into a grown man who falls in love and eventually leaves the floating temple to pursue a girl.
I didn't think I was going to like this film. The plot sounded very dull. But, within a couple of minutes I instantly fell in love. I know some people might have a problem with the lack of dialogue, but really, this film doesn't need it. It's beautiful, not just the scenery, which is stunning, but everything about this film just leaves you in awe.
Defs deserves to be on the list, and it needs to be higher.
Ziggi seal of approval!

You could watch this film on mute and it would still be amazing.
