You guys wanna go see a dead body?
So basically: Gordie, now a famous writer, recounts a tale of him and his three friends, Chris, Teddy, and Vern, when they were twelve years old. A boy went missing a couple of days prior and Vern overhears that his brother found the body. Seeking adventure and glory, the four boys trek to the site of the body. Gordie is obsessed with finding the body, thinking it will give him some closure on his recently deceased brother.
I wish I had grown up with this movie. I think I would have loved this movie and it would be one of my favourites. Instead, I saw this movie, like, two years ago and it doesn't hold a special place in my heart. Even still, I do love this film. I think it's a great adventure story and the four boys each have their own issues going on, allowing them to grow from the archetype they embody. It's not as awesome as The Goonies, tho - which should totes be on the list - but whatevs.

Awesome film, I watched the agonies. This is way better than The Goonies, I think people love that film mostly due to nostalgia, and not because it’s a great movie, Now this is a great movie, and one of my favorite coming of age films of all time.
