Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969)
Trailer
Think ya used enough dynamite there, Butch?
So basically: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid run the Hole-in-the-Wall Gang, but they are challenged by one of their members. Butch wins the duel to decide who will lead, but takes his opponent's idea of robbing trains instead of the usual banks. The first robbery goes smoothly, but a posse is waiting for them on their second attempt. Butch and Sundance must now run to Bolivia with Etta Place, Sundance's girlfriend.
This movie is awesome. It's a western, but it can be enjoyed by everyone - like me, who doesn't like westerns, and this is one of my favourite movies. There isn't a scene out of place (the scene with Butch and Etta might seem like it doesn't belong, tho, but I think it was a nice touch) and each of them was necessary. The way they blend in humour is flawless and very funny. And, of course, Robert Redford and Paul Newman - both of whom I fell in love with during this movie - are excellent together (see The Sting for more awesomeness).
This movie defs deserves to be on the list.
Ziggi seal of approval!
