When somebody asks me a question, I tell them the answer.
So basically: Jamal Malik becomes a contestant on the famous show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire to find his lost love, Latika. The episode ends right before the final question and he is dragged into a room for interrogation. The producers want to know how he got this far being a boy from the slums of Mumbai. In a series of flashbacks, Jamal's life is presented and it explains how he knew the answers to each of the questions.
The best thing about this movie is the score; it's absolutely stunning. That doesn't mean the rest of the film is bad, it's just not that great. I don't get the big deal about it. The love story was sweet but I didn't find myself caring for either of the characters. I am glad that it had a happy ending, tho, because I can see it being sad and then people liking it all the more - which is stupid, btdubs. The use of flashbacks to tell how he knew the answers was interesting, but only for curiosity’s sake.
This film is just alright and I don't think that this movie deserves to be on the list.
Ziggi seal of disapproval!

Shut your mouth up! OK!
ReplyDeleteAn awesome movie this one, on how an underdog overcomes all odds!
